QGIS uses ArcGIS file formats for vector data, with data stored in shapefiles (.shp). QGIS, however, is able to read in MapInfo files directly. In the shapefiles, points, lines and regions are stored in separate files.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
