TUFLOW Message
ERROR 2048 - Boundary object does not select any 2D cells.
Alternate Message
NA
Message Type
ERROR
Description
Boundary object does not select any 2D cells. If using Line Cell Selection == Method C or Line Cell Selection == MethodD (the default in Builds 2006-06-XX onwards), the line must intersect the cross-hairs of a 2D cell. The cross-hair approach means that cells are selected only if a line intersects imaginary “cross-hairs” that extend from the cell’s mid-sides to mid-sides. This means that if a boundary or link line starts inside a cell, and does not intersect with the cross-hairs, that cell will not be selected.

TUFLOW "Cross-hair" method of cell selection.
Suggestions
Ensure boundary line object selects a 2D cell.
