Description
Model unstable. The model has gone unstable in the 2D domain. A number of WARNING 2991 messages may be issued prior to ERROR 2998. There are a varieties of reasons that a TUFLOW model may go unstable in the 2D, these can include:
- Poor topography data
- Inappropriate timestep
- Poorly configured external boundary
- Poorly configured 1D/2D model interface
Suggestions
Import the messages layer in to your GIS package. Check for the occurrence of WARNING 2991 messages. The first occurrence of these WARNING messages is the likely location of the source of the problem. Carry out the suggestions as listed for WARNING 2991 to resolve the instability.
