TUFLOW Message
ERROR 2827 - No level 1 polygon found. Specify a level 1 nesting polygon or set "Model Origin and Extent == TGC" in Quadtree Control File.

Alternate Message
NA

Message Type
ERROR

Description
No level 1 polygon found. Specify a level 1 nesting polygon or set "Model Origin and Extent == TGC" in the Quadtree Control File (QCF). The QCF command Model Origin and Extent == can be set to 'Auto' or 'TGC'. If set to 'Auto', the extents of the level 1 GIS polygon are used to define the model origin and extents. If set to 'TGC', the model is located as per the commands in the TGC file.

Suggestions

  • Set Model Origin and Extent == Auto in the QCF and ensure the 2d_qnl (Quadtree Nesting Level) GIS layer has exactly one level 1 polygon defined. Or,
  • Set Model Origin and Extent == TGC" in the QCF. Then, no level 1 polygon is required in the 2d_qnl (Quadtree Nesting Level) GIS layer.

Refer to the TUFLOW Manual for more information on Quadtree nesting level requirements.
