| Whilst it is possible to increase the default HPC Courant, shallow wave celerity and diffusion control numbers (effectively overclocking the simulation), it is strongly recommended not to increase the Control Number Factor above the default of 1.0. A hard upper limit has been set to prevent an increase of more than 20% (i.e. Control Number Factor == 1.2). Increasing control numbers by more than this would be likely to lead to instability. | Whilst it is possible to increase the default HPC Courant, shallow wave celerity and diffusion control numbers (effectively overclocking the simulation), it is strongly recommended not to increase the Control Number Factor above the default of 1.0. TUFLOW Message
ERROR 3011: Target control number must be in range 0.001 - 1.2.
Alternate Message
None
Message Type
ERROR
Description
The Control Number Factor must be in the range 0.001 - 1.2.
Suggestions
Ensure the 'Control Number Factor' TCF command is within the range 0.001 - 1.2. The default value is 1.0.
