ERROR 0422 - Exceeded maximum number of regions within a .shp region.

Description
The maximum number of regions allowed within a single layer is 10,000. The error occurs when a layer has exceeded this maximum
Suggestions
Look in the log file (.tlf) for which layer is causing the error (example underlined in red below). Check if the the layer can be trimmed to the model extent or simplified. Check if there are multiple regions on top of each other.
