The linking of the 1D SWMM and the 2D TUFLOW model is done within the TUFLOW control files. These files are required for running TUFLOW-SWMM. The steps below outline the basic commands required to complete the linking and run the model. Based on the modelling task, further commands may need to be added or removed.

As XPSWMM writes TUFLOW model files, in the u>[[#Convert_XPSWMM_Model_to_Recommended_TUFLOW_Structure | Convert XPSWMM Model to Recommended TUFLOW Structure]]</u> section, the TUFLOW control files created by XPSWMM were transferred into their respective places in the '''TUFLOW''' folder. The TBC and TGC files were transferred to the '''TUFLOW\model''' folder, and the TCF file was transferred to the '''TUFLOW\model\runs''' folder.
