TUFLOW Software includes two grid computational solver options, namely TUFLOW Classic and TUFLOW HPC. TUFLOW Classic uses a finite difference implicit solution. TUFLOW HPC uses a finite volume explicit solution. The fundamental differences between both computational methods are described in the FAQ section below. Functionally, model input and outputs from TUFLOW Classic and TUFLOW HPC use identical formats.
