Read MID Mat, Read MID CnM or Read MID Grid .tgc commands cannot be used with Bed Resistance Cell Sides == INTERROGATE .tcf command. Specify Bed Resistance Cell Sides == AVERAGE n or Bed Resistance Cell Sides == AVERAGE M or Bed Resistance Cell Sides == MAXIMUM n in the .tcf file.
Bed Resistance Cell Sides == INTERROGATE is the default in the TUFLOW (as of TUFLOW Build 2007-07-AA), applies the exact value from the material polygons at each cell side. With the Read MID commands a value is inputted for each cell and value at cell side calculated using either average n, average M (1/n) or maximum n. The two approaches are therefore incompatible.
Suggestions
Specify an interpolation method for cell sides (Bed Resistance Cell Sides == ) if using Read MID commands to define roughness. Or use GIS inputs (Read GIS MAT or FRIC == ) with Bed Resistance Cell Sides == INTERROGATE.
