TUFLOW Message
WARNING 1100 - Structure "a" crest/invert is below bed of primary upstream channel "b".

Alternate Message
WARNING 1100 - Structure "a" crest/invert is below bed of primary downstream channel "b".

Message Type
WARNING

Description
The WARNING is issued where a 1D structure’s invert/bed lies below the invert/bed of the primary upstream and/or downstream channel.
The following diagrams provide a simplified elevation view of the two cases that trigger this warning:

Structure "a" crest/invert is below bed of primary upstream channel

Structure "a" crest/invert is below bed of primary downstream channel

Suggestions
For Build 2013-12-AB onwards, if this warning is issued, a review of the 1D topography and structure invert/dimensions is recommended. For Build 2013-12-AA, the issuing of this warning is incorrect and has no effect on the results.
From Build 2023-03-AD onwards, this warning is eliminated when the connecting node is a manhole. Manholes often feature elevation drops between culverts making this warning unnecessary.
