Alternate Message

Message Type

Description
If using effective area, a relative resistance factor of 1.0 must occur at some point in the profile to indicate the primary sub-channel. If this is not included, grossly incorrect channel velocities can occur.

Suggestions
Update the cross-sections to indicate a primary sub-channel:

  • In the 1D cross-section table link (1d_xs) layer, ensure at least one cross-section has the "Flag" attribute set to "R".
  • Update the corresponding source table to contain a relative resistance factor of 1.0.

Refer to the TUFLOW Manual for more information on cross-sections.
