A cross-section has been found at the channel centre (as opposed to channel ends), this takes priority and end-section(s) are being ignored.

Suggestions
Review channel and check a centre cross-section is intentional. This usually happens with culverts, weirs and bridges embedded in 1D channels with their own cross section.
