Tutorial M07 Results QGIS TUFLOW Viewer V2

Introduction

QGIS is used to view the model results with the TUFLOW Viewer V2. For viewing of the 2D map results, see Module 1.

Method

Inspect the resolution of the outputs:

1. Open the Map Outputs results, either:
   • Within the QGIS Browser Panel drag the following layer into the QGIS workspace, or

   • Module_07\TUFLOW\results\M07_5m_001.xmdf > loads the map output mesh results

   • In File Explorer, navigate to the file above and drag and drop it into the QGIS workspace.
2. Select M07_5m_001 in the Layers panel. In the Layer Styling panel, in the 'Datasets' tab, turn on the 'Vector Velocity' and 'Velocity'. View the finer resolution of vectors within the level 2 grid compared to the level 1 grid:
   
   
   

Conclusion

• The velocity and vector velocity outputs were inspected in relation to the grid resolution.
