Introduction

QGIS is used to load and view the 5m EXG and 5m DEV scenarios with the TUFLOW Viewer V2. For viewing of the 2D map results, see Module 1.

Method

Inspect the results for all scenarios:

  1. Open the Map Outputs and Plot Output results, either:
    • Within the QGIS Browser Panel drag the following layers into the QGIS workspace, or
    • Module_08\TUFLOW\results\M08_5m_EXG_002.xmdf > loads the map output mesh results for the existing case
    • Module_08\TUFLOW\results\M08_5m_DEV_002.xmdf > loads the map output mesh results for the developed case
    • Module_08\TUFLOW\results\plot\M08_5m_EXG_002.tpc > loads the time series output results
    • Module_08\TUFLOW\results\plot\M08_5m_DEV_002.tpc > loads the time series output results
  2. Inspect the water level differences using the Section Plot tool, selecting the bed elevation and water level.
Note: The time series results can be individually be toggled on or off in the plot window through the 'Result Names' icon.

Conclusion

  • The results of the 5m EXG and 5m DEV scenarios were inspected using the TUFLOW Viewer V2.
  • The results for the different cell sizes can be investigated respectively.
  • For further functionality, see TUFLOW Viewer documentation.
