Introduction

Information from vertical mapper grids can be extracted to points, lines and polygons. Prior to TUFLOW being able to read in gridded data directly it was necessary to inspect the elevation at each point (using the method outlined here Tutorial - Inspect Zpts in Vertical Mapper). There are still times where this is useful, for example to inspect the peak water levels at set points or land parcels.

Method

This functionality is accessed using the Grid Manager window (if this is not visible select Vertical Mapper >> Show Grid Manager from the menu).

To access the inspection functionality can be found in the Analysis section of the Vertical Mapper Grid Manager.

If multiple grids are open, these can be toggled on/off with the i? checkbox as shown below. Different options are available for inspecting points, lines and regions.
