Description
For the SCS method, the maximum infiltration and the rate of infiltration are both defined by the curve number, and the initial loss by the abstraction ratio. As a result the soil capacity cannot be defined independently of the soil type, and similarly initial water content of the soil cannot be defined independently of the soil type. Therefore reading soil depth, porosity, and initial moisture as layers are all disallowed with this method, and SCS soil types cannot be used in conjunction with any of the other soil types within the same model.

Suggestions
If wanting to use the SCS soil type, other soil types (e.g. ILCL, HO, GA) cannot be used in the same model.
