When TUFLOW runs SWMM, it can accommodate for multiple INP input files within the SWMM Control file. TUFLOW combines the input INP files into a single combined INP file for the simulation execution. The combined file that TUFLOW uses is written to the '''TUFLOW

▲
The [[Check_Files_2d_grd | _grd_check_R]] is the 2D grid defined by the 2d_code layer and contains a region object for each cell. This is a useful check file to understand how the model is orientated and the 2D cell size in relation to the 2D hydraulic controls and 1D hydraulic structures. In this tutorial, the grid is orientated to align with the downstream road.
▲
The [[Check_Files_1d_to_2d_bc | _1d_to_2d_check_R]] file shows the cells selected by the SX boundary links (these connect the 1D SWMM objects to 2D TUFLOW). It is recommended that the 2D cell width (i.e. cell side length x number of cells) be equal or greater than the width of the 1D culvert. Zoom to each structure to inspect the SX links. In all cases the 2D linkage is 10m wide. Is this equal or more than the width of the associated 1D culvert?
