Introduction
The native non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) form of TUFLOW uses Geographic Information System (GIS) files for spatial inputs. TUFLOW is compatible with:
- MapInfo mif/mid format
- ArcGIS, QGIS and SAGA shapefile format.
- Grid raster files in ASCII, FLT and NETCDF format
- TIN files in SMS 2dm, 12D 12da or Civil3D xml format.
The first step in any modelling project requires the writing of GIS template (empty) files.
