The Create TUFLOW Project Tool is similar to the QGIS TUFLOW Create Project tool, however contains a few more options in regards to initialising TUFLOW projects such as creating a set of template control files. This tool does not have an option to create TUFLOW FV projects.

Parameters

  1. Project Name - This is the name of the project/model e.g. "BrisbaneRiver". Is it used to set the names of input files and therefore generally it is good practice to avoid using spaces or characters that are not supported in file paths.
  2. Project Folder - The location of the project where the model will be setup in. The TUFLOW folders will be written directly into this location (no intermediate 'TUFLOW' folder will be added).
  3. TUFLOW Executable - The location of the TUFLOW executable to use to create the empty files and this path will be saved for other tools.
  4. TUFLOW Settings - Common TUFLOW settings that can be configured in the dialog and will be written to the template control files.
  5. Domain Setup - An interactive way of setting up the model domain that will be written to template control files. The domain can be drawn and edited by the user (moved, scaled, and rotated) or the domain can be set to bound closely to one of the open layers (it maintains its current angle, so this should be set first). The layers will directly reflect the map canvas.
  6. Output Formats - Setup and choose the output formats that will be written to the template control files.
  7. Create Empty Files - Runs TUFLOW to create empty (template) GIS files. Requires the option Create Folder Structure``` to be checked.
  8. Create Folder Structure - Sets up and creates the standard TUFLOW model folder structure. This will not delete any existing folders.
  9. Setup Control File Templates - Create template control files. Uses TUFLOW Settings, Domain Setup, and Output Formats inputs to help tailor the control files.
